As part of the outreach and civic engagement activities promoted within the Jean Monnet Chair CE4INT – Circular Economy for Sustainable Development and International Trade, the Europe Day celebration was held in Chiusi during the Career Day of the IIS Valdichiana.
The initiative focused on key themes related to European citizenship, youth mobility, and opportunities for study and work within the European Union, engaging students and teachers from the local educational community in an open and participatory dialogue.
Together with Angelita Campriani, the activities of Europe Direct Siena of the Università di Siena were presented, highlighting the ongoing work of connecting universities, schools, and local communities through European information, training, and engagement initiatives.
The event was organised with the support of the Municipality of Chiusi, with the participation of Maura Talozzi and Mayor Gianluca Sonnini, who promoted this important initiative aimed at strengthening European citizenship awareness among younger generations and fostering dialogue between local institutions and the educational system.
This initiative reflects the mission of the Jean Monnet Chair CE4INT in bringing European policies and values closer to citizens, particularly young people, through education, territorial cooperation, and active engagement in European democratic life.
