Celeste Pesce

MEMBER OF THE TEACHING STAFF

Celeste Pesce is Associate Professor of European Union Law at the Department of Law of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”. She is a Member of the Board of Professors of the Ph.D. “Rights and Protections of Globalized Markets”, Member of the Interdepartmental Research Center “Sul Diritto Internazionale e dell’Unione Europea Vincenzo Starace” and Member of “Ambiente, Energia e Sostenibilità” (AES) (Environment, Energy and Sustainability) Forum of AISDUE (Associazione Italiana degli Studiosi di Diritto dell’Unione Europea). Her main research interests relate to the
EU Environmental Law, and Representative and Participatory Democracy in the European Union. She is the author of monographs and of scientific contributions published in legal journals and manuals of European Union law. Many of her scientific works concern environmental issues and sustainable development in the European Union; one of her monographs deals with democratic participation within the Union.
